The Anchored Notice and Consent Receipt Work Group addresses the technical gaps and take advantage of recent legal and standards development, to update version 1.1 of the Consent Receipt Specification. The Consent Receipt has further evolved into the Consent Record Information Structure ISO/IEC 27560 which is nearing publication. Important the work here focuses on human concentric data control and using receipts and the associated records for people to control the use of their personal information. Two important components of this work targeted for publication are privacy and security enhancing technologies in the form of Transparency Performance Indicators and a PII Notice Controller Credential which people create and can use independently of service providers in a co-governance framework.

The Identity Assurance Work Group is an active discussion forum that maintains the Kantara Identity Assurance Framework (IAF) and supports Kantara Initiative Inc. governance and assurance programs. The IAF includes the standards, processes, practices, guidance and methods by which participants in identity federations gain assurance of the reliability, security, thoroughness and degree of assurance of each other’s’ processes for identity and credential information verification, validation and exchange.
The Information Sharing Interoperability Work Group is the successor to the Consent and Information Sharing Work Group (WG-CIS; now archived). WG-ISI continues development in the same domain as its predecessor with a modified and broadened scope to allow multiple projects to proceed under the default IPR option Non-Assertion Covenant. It is envisaged that text from the Consent Receipt and from the Blockchain Identity Taxonomy will be re-contributed to WG-ISI from CISWG subject to the agreement of those respective contributors.

The purpose of the Privacy Enhancing Mobile Credentials Work Group is to create a set of requirements and conformance criteria to protect the privacy of individuals holding or using mobile credentials such as mobile Driving Licenses. This includes, but is not restricted to, technology ecosystems based on ISO/IEC 18013-5 compliant mobile driving licenses.
The purpose of the Resilient Identifiers for Underserved Populations Work Group is to support vulnerable and underserved populations in America. At a high level, these populations include those with physical and cognitive disabilities, or who are homeless, impoverished, senior citizens, immigrants, incarcerated, institutionalized and otherwise underserved minority groups that need digital credentials to access online resources; particularly, online healthcare and financial resources.
The purpose of the User Managed Access Work Group is to develop specs that let an individual control the authorization of data sharing and service access made between online services on the individual’s behalf, and to facilitate interoperable implementations of the specs. More recent efforts have been developing sector-specific use cases to facilitate adoption.
