NOV 30th KI Meeting – Gov-Industry Gaps in Requirements | Component Services IDPV&CM

Registration for the Nov 30 Kantara meeting is now open.  Please join us – space is limited.

Join us for the Kantara Initiative Trusted Identity meeting hosted by Kantara Member Experian.
Rationale: Attend this meeting to be part of innovative and leading expert discussions regarding Authentication policies and technologies, verification and trust.  Ensure that your organization has the most up to date insights from the only Level of Assurance 1-4 cross-vertical Trust Framework Provider (operating for the US Federal gov and beyond). Discuss gaps between government requirements versus Industry use cases.  Learn about Component Services (Identity Proofing and Credential Management).  Discuss how to enable public-private partnerships for ‘identity without borders’.
Focus: Identification and action planning against gaps between national requirements like: NIST 800-63-1, ISO 29115 and Industry Use Cases for compliance.  Additionally we’ll discuss use cases for integration standarization of Component Services (like IDPV and Credential Management) toward a ‘plug and play’ type environment. Also discuss the decoupling of Credential from Identity (consistent with Canada and other regions)

When: November 30th (08:00-17:00 ET)
Where: Venable LLP, 575 7th St NW | Washington, DC 20004
Registration: http://kantara-trusted-id.eventbrite.com/
Agenda: Detailed agenda to be posted on the registration page shortly.
Topics for discussion include:

  • Gaps between governments services (public) and non-government service scenarios (private)
  • Identity Proofing & Credential Management as Component Services
  • Pseudonymous approach (separating credentials from identity)
  • International Compliance Harmonization
  • Health Care sector Authentication (from e-prescribing, to facility, to patient)
  • Privacy practices and policies
  • Attribute Broker / IdP Proxy Models

Notes of Interest: The Kantara meeting admission price includes meeting support and refreshments etc. Additionally, this meeting is located in close proximity to the NSTIC & IDESG meeting in Washington DC, Nov 26-27 and the Smart Card Alliance Nov 28-29.  While we have no formal affiliation with these meetings some may wish to attend both.

Special Thanks: Kantara Initiative also expresses special thanks to our hosts Experian and Venable LLC.  Experian is a member of Kantara Initiative and recently were recognized for Identity Proofing assessment for their PreciseID service component at Assurance Levels 2-3.

We hope to see you there!
