Review your identity service policy practice and technologies, whether these are under development or in full operation. Your service may not yet conform to the Service Assessment Criteria (SAC) of the Kantara Identity Assurance Framework.
Once you've chosen the Class of Approval you wish to apply for, read our Identity Assurance Framework Handbook to determine the Service Assessment Criteria (SAC) you must meet in your application.
Submit an Initial Application Package to define the scope and nature of your service. This must include reference to the Service Assessment Criteria (SAC) and any specific criteria which you believe are applicable. Your submission must include: Application for Service Approval (ASA); Specification of a Service Subject to Assessment (S3A); Statement of Criteria Applicability (SoCA). KB NOTE = need to hyperlink these to relevant [ages/documents
Once our Assurance Review Board accepts your initial application, you can engage a Kantara-accredited assessor. The assessor will assess your service against the appropriate Service Assessment Criteria and produce a Kantara Assessor Report (KAR) and Statement of Conformity (SoC). You should then work with your assessor to address any areas of non-conformance.
Once your application is approved, you'll be granted a license to formally use a Kantara Initiative Trust Mark. The license is valid for three years, with an Annual Conformity Reviews taking place in the two intervening years. We encourage all Trust Mark holders to display their Mark on promotional material and websites and to use it within sales materials and Response to Tenders.
