October 22 2015, Piscataway, NJ – Kantara Initiative, a global identity initiative community, announced today that SecureKey Technologies, a leading provider of identity and authentication solutions for simplifying consumer access to online applications, has joined the Kantara Initiative Board of Trustees. SecureKey joins innovators on the Kantara Board from CA Technologies, Experian, IEEE Standards Association, Internet Society, ForgeRock, Nomura Research Institute, and Radiant Logic.
SecureKey eliminates the need to store passwords by securely linking consumer ID to trusted devices, while providing consumers with the choice, control and convenience over how they access the services they want. The company brings a wealth of expertise to Kantara Initiative in areas including identity federation, Privacy by Design, multifactor authentication, security architecture and Internet of Things.
SecureKey recently announced the launch of its SecureKey Concierge service in the United States, which allows consumers to choose a trusted credential they already have and use frequently, eliminating the need for additional usernames and passwords. Coupled with user-centric privacy protection to prevent tracking of consumer data and online activities, the SecureKey Concierge service promotes increased use of web-based services by allowing consumers to securely and confidently conduct transactions online.
