Kantara Initiative’s Colin Wallis to Call for Formation of Digital Identity Profession at Identity Management 2016

Wallis to Make Case for Why the Time is Now to Establish a Digital Identity Professional Organization

WAKEFIELD, Mass., USA – November 8, 2016 — Kantara Initiative, which provides strategic vision and real-world innovation elements for the digital identity transformation, announced today that its Executive Director, Colin Wallis, will speak at the Identity Management 2016 conference on November 9, 2016, at 9:20 a.m. at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London. He will present the case for establishing a digital identity profession and explore developments around knowledge sharing, mentoring and education for digital identity professionals.
“The time to professionalize the identity discipline is now. Last May, almost 400 digital identity professionals signed an online pledge initiated by Kantara in support of a digital identity professional association,” said Wallis. “The overwhelming majority of these individuals have articulated thoughts similar to ours, substantiating our view that the value of digital identity as a profession is critical to bridging the missing link between security, privacy and identity. We need an organization to represent and certify digital identity professionals”
