Gaining a Kantara Trust Mark
We award Trust Marks for services which have been found to be conformant to criteria specific to a particular standard or specification, such as NIST SP 800-63-3. We work with dedicated, specialist digital identity assessors to assess conformance. In the case of NIST SP 800-63-3, for example, we have developed specific criteria around the operation of identity proofing, credential management and federated assertion functions to given levels of assurance. Kantara assessment criteria address the technical functionality of the service being assessed as well as the service provider’s product management and governance practices and information security management practices as relevant.
