Dear CIS WG
Happy New Year to you all!
Over the holidays, Staff have been working on creating the new Work Group - Information Sharing Interoperability - as agreed on late last year. Colin referenced it in his Director's Corner blog<https://kantarainitiative.org/confluence/display/GI/2019%3A+December> a couple of days ago which will be promoted on Social media today.
It is up and running, with all the links to the ISI - WG wiki, calendar, join etc, shown in the Work and Discussion Groups drop down menu under Resources on the Kantara website.
Please, as a matter of urgency, complete the Group Participation Agreement https://kantarainitiative.org/gpa-signup/?selectedGroup=44<https://kantarainitiative.org/gpa-signup/?selectedGroup=44> for the new ISI WG so that we can populate the Participant Roster, the Listserv email distribution list, and prepare for our first calls.
This current CIS WG will run in parallel for the remainder of this month, after which it will be Archivedand no longer active.
So it is important to switch over to the new group to continue your participation in the development of the consent-related artifacts.
The new ISI WG will start calls from next week, for the first 3 meetings in January (10th, 17th, 24th).
NOTE WELL: these first 3 calls are on Fridays, with a new bridge and new call -in detail.
For our last call in January (January 30th) and ongoing, ISI WG will take over the current time slot for CIS WG on Thursdays using those call-in details .
Try to join both the final 3 CIS WG calls on Thursday January 9th, 16th and 23rd, as well as the new ISI WG calls on Friday January 10th, 17th, 24th. These may be shorter calls than the usual hour, during this transition.
Staff will try to send weekly updated calendar invites to participants who join the new ISI WG during January.
But in addition, I will copy/paste call-in details of the new ISIS WG across to this CIS WG email distro list in advance of each call for the next few weeks, to try to pick up everyone who is in transition to the new ISI WG.
Late last year, you may also recall the CIS WG resolved to approach the contributors to the Consent Receipt and the Blinding Identity Taxonomy work in CIS WG to see if they will re-contribute, or authorize the re-contribution of the work into the new ISI WG, given that it will operate under a different IPR regime. If your name is listed as a contributor on those artifactsin CIS WG, please expect to receive communication from Staff seeking your approval for this.
Most important right now, is for you to join the new ISI -WG here https://kantarainitiative.org/gpa-signup/?selectedGroup=44<https://kantarainitiative.org/gpa-signup/?selectedGroup=44>
