While this is an interesting avenue to peruse, it is not "some thing new in
the world". This idea was described in Doc Searls book "The intention
economy" and is the primary work product of the vendor relationship
management (VRM) group that has been sputtering along for years.

The core challenge behind this idea is whether the db should be on the
user's device, or in the cloud. There are rabid partisans on both views,
especially as to the issue of privacy and user control of their own data.
While most groups try to avoid the problem, by saying it is user choice,
the solution to the problem is key to a successful adoption.

I would appreciate hearing about how the existing implementations of the
"dashboard" handle the location and security of the user data.
