Great insights Catherine (and Ruth directly).

My immediate thought was to do it annually and add it to the AGM where the Chairs are already giving a report on WG/DG activity, so 'wrap it up with a bow' so to speak..

I think this is a great idea. Years ago when I was active in a HIMSS working group I received a “service star” recognition. I was nominated by the chair of the working group I served on and this was reviewed and accepted by the leadership committee
My nomination and recognition was then announced in a HIMSS newsletter and was also shown on the website.
It’s a great way to publicly recognize the hard work and contributions that some folks are making to the success of the organization.
HIMSS is a big org and did this monthly. We could do something like this quarterly or annually.

Folks

Moving past this actual instance, I'm wondering if this Honor Roll concept is something we should consider to acknowledge Working Group volunteer participants (members or non members).

Thoughts?

Dear Colin:

Secure Technology Alliance activities depend on member volunteers who develop deliverables and lead discussions on important payments industry topics.

During this year, your participation in the Identity Council has stood out among other members. I am delighted to inform you that you have been chosen as one of the Top Contributors of the Identity Council for 2020. Your input, time, energy and leadership have all contributed to the success of the Council. As an acknowledgement of your contributions, we will be sending a certificate. Please send me the address that you would like the certificate mailed to.

We will be issuing a press release recognizing our Top Contributors on Tuesday, November 24, and would like your permission to include your name and company in the release. Please review the draft release attached to ensure we have correctly captured your name and company. If you have any edits or if you prefer not to be included in the press release, let me know by November 17. If you plan on issuing your own company press release, we ask you to do so after November 24.

The Secure Technology Alliance member-driven councils and projects have made significant contributions in 2020, through publishing education and outreach material, holding educational webinars on key topics, developing industry comments and positions, establishing relationships with other industry groups, and facilitating discussion of the challenges in implementing emerging security technologies.

Thank you for your contributions, and I look forward to your continued participation in the Secure Technology Alliance.

Sincerely,
Cathy Medich

Secure Technology Alliance
