FYI..

Heads up for this coming down the pipe.

I have mentioned to Gail that going forward, Kantara may play a more critical role in mDL than she indicates on these slides..(so my sense is Kantara could be involved in all 3 WGs - Privacy, Security and Operations - but it's early days..

Let's see who shows up next week and more importantly on the weeks that follow, because then we will have a sense of ecosystem support.

All and any thoughts and comments most welcome so I can throw them into the mix at the kick off next week.

Cheers

Colin

Hello Colin!

Good to be back in touch, and formally "kicking off" the efforts of the Future Identity Council!

I'd like to invite Kantara to join the kick off of the Privacy Working Group August 10 at 8am PST/4pm GMT. It will be great to have Kantara engaged from day 1. From our earlier conversations the Privacy WG was the most interesting to you, but you also expressed interest in the Security workstream?

The working groups are scheduled as follows:

August 10 8am PST = Privacy WG

August 12 8am PST = Security WG

[FYI: August 11 8am PST = Operations WG]

All WGs will kick-off by summarizing the “ask” from the Government Oversight Committee, and priorities for the respective WGs. For now, the GOC is comprised of global issuing authorities with a focus on DL issuance: DMV Directors of 4 US states (CA, IA, TX, FL) and AAMVA, as well as Directors/ mDL leads for 3 additional countries (UK, NZ, Netherlands). Draft agenda below.

I expect WG attendees to include representatives from your peers at other leading Identity interest groups (including FIDO, Open ID, STA, and the Decentralized Identity Foundation) as well as public and private sector thought leaders from across the ecosystem.

For your convenience, I attach the latest brief on FIC. The WG kick off docs will be circulated early next week.

Thanks for confirming!

Gail
