Call for participation****

Kantara Initiative has founded a new discussion group "Identities of
things” (IDoT DG) addressing the handling of identities of things, goods
and objects. ****

Identities of things are projected to be crucial Internet of Things (IoT)
use-cases, but the use cases also go well beyond IoT environments. Early
object and IoT use-cases evolving and early solutions are now being

In this context, some object identities are managed with proprietary
solutions or niche standards that have not been mapped to each other and
fail to consider interoperability. ****

The purpose of our group is to discuss ways of bridging different standards
and solutions to enable overarching use-cases. We don’t want to re-invent
identity protocols and standards. Our goal is to re-use known mechanisms
and adapt them for the Internet of Things, machine2machine communication
and other use-cases. ****

Are you interested?****

Anyone is free to participate. To join the group fill out the GPA (Group
Participation Agreement):
