Group Leaders -

Please make sure you send me your proposed budget allocation requests for 2011 in time for us to evaluate them at the meeting in Paris.

As we've discussed on the calls, the LC will consider each submission and recommend to the BoT a package of reasonable projects for allocation in the 2011 budget.  Once they receive the requested package, the BoT (and it's Budget Preparation Committee) will determine the best path forward in funding the requested projects in light of the overall 2011 operating budget.

To further set everyone's expectations, once the BoT have finalized the budget projection for 2011, any additional requests for funding through the LC will be treated as "supplemental budget requests".  They will then be funded based on whatever unallocated project funding remains available in the budget.

In short... please submit your requests so we can effectively plan for the coming year (rather than be surprised later).
