Hi Anna,
I applaud the effort to submit something for the IAPP panel, but on
such short notice this can be tricky. What I noticed is that the
recent input into the IGF covers broadly the session content you
provided for the IAPP session proposal.
So taking your lead and the input from others I have leveraged the
existing (agreed upon P3 material) for this purpose. If we were to
mash up the excellent points you put in for this proposed session with
recent IGF input and recent events effecting. This would look
something more like this:
> The Kantara Initiative Privacy& Public Policy Work Group
> (P3WG)believes that it is important to support the open development
> of globally-applicable privacy standards, both technical and
> regulatory, in order to continue having confidence in the Internet
> ecosystem. To do so, the P3WG actively engages with individuals,
> enterprises, policy makers, regulators and adoption communities on
> best practices and common solutions.
>
> Our session will aim to cover multi stake-holder collaboration in
> public policy and identity management. Collaboration in light of
> current efforts and their impact on credential management (E.g.
> technical verification, issuance, management and use of identity
> credentials.) Current activities include Kantara Initiative
> Developments, US National Strategy for Trusted Identities in
> Cyberspace(NSTIC), expected EC review on Data Protection, OECD
> Updating Privacy Guidance and the role of the individual.
>
I am would go along with your previous version of the panel proposal
and support creating material for this panel in the coming months,
but I would prefer leveraging and utilising existing P3 material and
inputs.
Kind Regards,
Mark Lizar
