The goal of the ICU-DG is to provide a means for Kantara Initiative participants to remain up to date with the status of tracked identity projects. There are a number of projects that, for various reasons, are not visible enough to Kantara Initiative participants, let alone the wider community. The projects will be identified and tracked by the ICU-DG which will release updates as a weekly podcast series tentatively titled the "Identity Matters Podcast: A Kantara Initiative". Activities of the ICU-DG include:
- Weekly podcasts (three per month) of recorded interviews about specific tracked projects.
- Monthly podcast of a teleconference in which participants provide short updates on various tracked projects.
- RSS feed of blog posts highlighting tracked projects and associated links referenced in each podcast.
